What is the best time to book my cat into the cattery?
As soon as you know what dates you need your cat to be boarded. We get booked up quickly for popular times such as school holidays or Christmas.
Of course. We encourage owners to come and meet us and have a look around before boarding their cat. Just give us a call to arrange a suitable time.

Does my cat have to be vaccinated?
Yes, it is very important that all cats are fully up to date with their vaccinations before coming to stay with us at The Cats Pyjamas. Cats must have been vaccinated against flu and enteritis a minimum of ten days prior to boarding.
Cat Flu is a common and nasty viral disease that can cause severe flu like symptoms. It is caused by 2 main viruses, Feline Calcivirus (FCV), and Feline Herpesvirus (FHV).
Feline Enteritis (panleukopenia) is a highly infectious virus that spreads quickly between cats and survives well in the environment, which means all unvaccinated cats are at risk from picking it up. Clinical signs in adult cats are diarrhoea, vomiting, anorexia and dehydration. These viruses are easily spread by direct contact between cats.
If your cat’s booster vaccination has lapsed then the course may need to be restarted.
Your vet will be able to advise you if you are unsure. The vaccination course consists
of two injections usually given 3-
Do I need to bring my cat’s vaccine certificate to the cattery?
Yes. Vaccination cards must be presented on arrival. If you cannot find your cat’s vaccine card then your vet will be able to provide you with a new one.
What food will my cat be fed?
We have a range of top quality cat food available including Hills, Whiskers, Fish4Cats and fresh chicken and fish.
My cat is on medication, can it still stay at the cattery?
Yes but owners must supply us with enough medication for the duration of your cats stay and dosing instructions.
What happens if my cat gets ill during it’s stay?
The cattery has insurance in place for your pet in case veterinary treatment is required. We are able to call our local veterinary practice if concerned about any of our guests during their stay.
Can you let me know how my cat is during it’s stay?
Yes, we can email you throughout your cats stay to keep you up to date with how they are and what they have been getting up to.
